Hardware installation: Clarinet-BookClarinet-Book USB configurationThe Clarinet-Book USB hardware is made up of one or several modules, each connected to the Host PC through the USB interface and optionally powered on by an external power supply unit (if the power supply is not directly provided by the USB connection). A set of batteries is normally inserted in the Clarinet-Book USB unit. One Host PC can simultaneously drive several Clarinet-Book USB units. Each module uses one address (ID from 1 to 7), set by the coding wheel. All the values must be different. Clarinet-Book SCSI configurationThe Clarinet-Book SCSI hardware is made up of one or several external units powered on by their individual power supply unit and connected to the Host PC by a SCSI-2 interface (a SCSI cable is provided with each Clarinet-Book SCSI module):
One Host PC can simultaneously support several (up to 6) Clarinet-Book
SCSI modules. Each module uses one address on the SCSI bus: the CLARINET-ID. Clarinet-Book ATMWhen several Clarinet-Book are used with at least one of ATM type, the interface number 1 (coding wheel on position 1) must be of ATM type.
