ETS Pics/Pixit parameters

The Pics/Pixit (.PIA files) are supplied in the form of Database files in text format.

The various values of the Pics and Pixit variables (Protocol Implementation Conformance Statement and Protocol Implementation eXtra Information for Testing), are defined in a parameter file associated with the ETS.

For each parameter, the following items are specified:

• the comments which are associated with it in the ATS.MP file.
• the Pics/Pixit reference (if this exists).
• the type of input expected (Decimal, Hexa,...).
• its current value.

The Pics/Pixit variables issuing from the ATS.MP file are automatically extracted.

The content of a .PIA file is accessible:

• during the profile edition and the TTCN User program configuration.
• by means of the Microsoft Access through a .MDB data base file included in each ETS package.
• by means of the Microsoft Word converting the text in a table of 4 colums with the "|" (as ALT 0124) delimiter option.

Each ETS directory includes:

•  the reference of the PICS/PIXIT file (empty values)
• one or several templates filled with the values corresponding to the basic IUTs.
