Manager - programmable simulator

The simulator executes the User program executable file, whose name and parameters are included in the profile.

The User program is developed using the C/C++ language (Microsoft Visual C/C++ compiler) and the Clarinet DEV-C software package.

SL User Program

The SL-User Program mode on a Clarinet interface enables the complete management of events and primitives relative to PH, SL and DL links to be carried out for :

• Special analysis of events.
• Simulation at layer N over a stack of emulators up to layer N-1 running on SL.
  • The profile can  include specifications to automatically initialise the emulation resources on SL.
  • The stack of  emulators can also be initialised by the User Program.
• Simulation at layer N over a stack of emulators up to layer N-1 running on SL or/and DL.
  • The stack of emulators for DL must be initialised by the User Program.
• Simulation examples:
  • Call simulation over the emulator layer 3.
  • Simulation at layer 3 over the emulator layer 2.
  • Simulation at layer 2.

The program is automatically launched at the beginning of the profile execution.

DL User Program

The DL-User Program mode on a Clarinet interface enables the complete management of events and primitives relative to the Data Link to be carried out for :

• Special analysis of events.
• Simulation at layer N over a stack of emulators up to layer N-1 running on the Data Link.
  The stack of emulators must be initialised by the DL-User Program.
  For example:
  • Call simulation over the emulator layer 3.
  • Simulation at layer 3 over the emulator layer 2.
  • Simulation at layer 2.

The program is automatically launched during the profile execution at the beginning of the Data state.
