Categories. Choice list of
categories. One must be selected and results in displaying only the related
protocols in the attached choice list.
Protocols. Choice list of
protocols depending on the selected category. One selection can be done
excluding all the other ones.
For some protocols, reminder of the protocol parameter(s) defined in an other
panel are displayed between brackets after the protocol name.
Other selections. One of the following selections can be done
excluding any selection in the list of protocols.

None. No protocol is selected for the specification of the
protocol stack.

Automatic. The protocol is automatically selected according to an
information identifying it and conveyed in the control field of the lower
protocol layer.
This mode can be used only relatively to a lower protocol layer.

User. The control field of the related protocol layer has a
certain length, and is displayed in hexadecimal, because the decoding is
supposed to be not supported by Clarinet-System.
An offset before the conveyed data must be defined as the length of the
control field.
This mode is useful when a protocol layer is unknown and conveyed data can
be decoded as upper layer(s).
Offset. Only used if the protocol layer is of User type.
Length of the control field of the protocol layer.
