X25 profile editor: Responder

Accept incoming calls. Configuration of the Responder behaviour.

  • No. The incoming call are rejected.
  • Yes. The incoming calls are accepted.

  • Incoming call rejected

Call clearing. With the following step in sequence:

    • Send CLEAR... Packet transmission.
Access to editing the different fields of the packet.

Incoming call accepted - Call establishment

With the following steps in sequence:

  • Send CALL CONNECTED... Packet transmission after delay.
Access to editing the different fields of the packet.
  • Delay before CONNECT. Delay before sending the CALL CONNECTED packet (if to be sent).
An empty field means an infinite value of time.

  • Incoming call accepted - Active state - Default behaviour

With the specification of the active source to be connected and  the transmission mode resulting in duration parameters.

Active source. Data source to be connected:
  • None. No data source.
  • Loop. The transmitted data packets are built from the processing of the received data packets.
  • Transmit pattern. Pattern of characters, selected from a choice list, and transmitted as a sequence of data packets.
  • Transmit high-speed pattern. Pattern of characters, selected from a choice list, and transmitted as a sequence of data packets in the high speed emulator mode.
  • Transmit file. File selected from a choice list, and transmitted as a sequence of data packets.
  • Receive file. The data conveyed by the received data packets are recorded in this file, whose name is pre-defined.
  • Receive file + Transmit pattern. Combination for simultaneous  receive and transmit operations.
  • Receive file + Transmit file. Combination for simultaneous  receive and transmit operations.
  • Source selection. For some data source type, a complementary selection must be done.

Transmission mode. The selected data source is transmitted as a sequence of data packets, for a certain number of times, before the call clearing.

  • Send continuously for a duration. The call is automatically cleared when the duration expires.
An empty field means an infinite value of time.
  • Send number of time(s) and clear after delay. The selected data source is transmitted, for the number of times as defined. And then, after the delay expiry, the call is automatically cleared.
An empty field means an infinite value of the delay.

Incoming call accepted - Active state - Downloaded behaviour

There is a particular character string in the Call user data field of the incoming Call packet, identified by Clarinet as conveying parameters of the Responder active state.

The data source to be connected and the active state duration can be defined in the Call user data field of the incoming Call packet by a character string under the following conditions:

    • string structure: < DATA SOURCE > <DURATION> with uppercase charracters; the both fields are separated by one SPACE character.
    • The string is placed at the beginning of the field. It may be followed by comments, provided that a * character separator is added.
    • [d] optional duration: If this duration expires, the call is automatically cleared.
    • [i] optional number according to the choice list of patterns.
    • [name] optional file name.
    • [d] and [name] are exclusive.

    LOOP [d] Loop
    PATT [d] Transmit pattern
    PATT[i] [d] Transmit pattern n° i
    PATS [d] Transmit high-speed pattern

Incoming call accepted - Call clearing

With the following steps in sequence:
    • If normal clearing, Send CLEAR... Packet transmission.
Access to editing the different fields of the packet.
    • If resource unavailable, Send CLEAR... Packet transmission if resource unavailable (as virtual circuit or data source).
Access to editing the different fields of the packet.

    Copy/Paste functions

The Copy X25 Packet and Paste X25 Packet functions allow to duplicate the contents of a particular packet type to an other one of the same type (in the same profile or a different one).
