Filter protocol - RECORD action with START Anticipation

The Start Anticipation function enables recording of N events before an event triggering the Record Start action. This function is active if ALL the following conditions are confirmed:
  • non-null anticipation value entered in the Start Anticipation parameter of the filter.
  • Record State OFF.
  • Stop Delay function disabled.

The Record State OFF can be positioned by:

  • initialization with the Initial state parameter of the filter file,
  • return to this state after a Record Stop action.

The Start Anticipation function memorizes the events to be recorded (after application of selection conditions of the Record action). The number of events memorized is the one specified for the anticipation value. This number may be limited by the size of memory available. Upon triggering the Record Start action, the events memorized are recorded and the recording state becomes active (ON).

The selection criteria of the Record action are applied to the events coming from the anticipation.
