Selection conditions in a layer can be defined by a value corresponding to:
a field-value in the control field identified in all the types of messages of the layer.
a data-value identified in the data field of the DT-type messages of the layer.

Selecting value on data field: fixed + offset

The string used for selecting value on a data field can be located at a fixed position (defined by an offset) in the Fixed mode.

Selecting value on data field: sliding

The string used for selecting value on a data field can be located everywhere in the data field in Sliding mode.
