Filter protocol - Recording with PDU generation
Event data fields according to a protocol layer N, which uses the Segmentation
/Reassembly capability, are processed for generation of PDU events at the upper
layer N+1.
PDU's events will need to be generated by the protocol filter while RECORDING
protocol events:
- On-Line recording: The protocol filter is defined in the profile to be
executed.
- Off-Line recording: The protocol filter is executed on an already existing
event file.
The protocol stack of the filter file includes:
- A protocol at layer N supporting the Segmentation /Reassembly capability.
- A protocol at layer N+1.

Segmented-PDU: preserved data
The DATA field for this PDU is comprised of the sum of the segmented
data fields of the lower level. These ones can be entirely kept unchanged
in the Preserved mode. |

Segmented-PDU : discarded data
The DATA field of this PDU is comprised of the sum of segmented data
fields of the lower level. These ones can be eliminated in the Discarded
mode. |
