How to listen to voice/tones over SS7 interface

Clarinet Run-time allows to monitor tones or voice on the both directions of one B channel simultaneously with the signalling channel.

Connecting the unit and setting the test conditions:

The connections of Clarinet-Book USB units and the settings of test conditions for a basic monitoring are detailed in the following page:

Profiles resulting from the wizard are ready for SS7 monitoring over two TS's of E1 or T1.

The B channel should be defined by a fixed value.

Example: Modifications of profile to monitor voice with handset over B channel #2

In the profile access to Interface-Spec... ->Analog  and select:

  • Handset speaker 1 Cofidec 1
  • Handset speaker 2 Cofidec 2
  • Access to Cofidec 
    • Cofidec 1: 
      • Analysis Time-slot   select 2
      • Direction of Analysis Time-Slot: Input.
    • Cofidec 2: 
      • Analysis Time-slot   select 2
      • Direction of Analysis Time-Slot: Output.

Example: Modifications to monitor DTMF tones over B channel #2

  • DTMF 1 Cofidec 1
