Filter editor statistics: Selection by measure mode

Counting specifications can be on the data flow or the number of frames depending on their length. See features.

Selecting. One condition or several ones can be independently selected in the list.

  • All. All the conditions are selected.
  • None. None of the conditions is selected.
  • TD / RD. Indications of direction are used as qualifiers and combined with type of counting.
    • No. There is not any counting carried out of events occurring on the related direction
    • Yes. There is counting of the selected type(s), carried out from events occurring on the related direction.
  • Conditions
    • No. The condition is not selected (by default).
    • Yes. The condition is selected.

Flow measure. Number of bytes during the sampling period.

  • Data. Counting in bytes of data conveyed on the related protocol layer.
  • Data / Multiplex. Counting in bytes of data conveyed on the related protocol layer, according to a field value in a control field identified in all the types of the messages.
The Measure / Multiplex recording mode MUST be set.

Example: The data flow definition is given for each direction and each protocol type:

  • BOP Data-Flow: number of bytes calculated on:
    • frame: FLAG (1 byte) + information field (n bytes) + CRC (2 bytes).
    • Abort: information field (n octets).
    • CRC-ERROR: FLAG (1 byte) + information field (n bytes) + CRC (2 bytes).
  • Q921 Data-Flow: number of bytes of the INFORMATION field of frames I or UI.
  • X25 Data-Flow: number of bytes included in the data field of the DT or CALL packets.

Frame measure. Number of frames.

  • Length. Counting of frames with a specified length range.
Counting of frames with a precisely defined length range, if the 2 bounds are identical.
    • 1st bound. 1st bound of the frame length range for the frames to be counted.
    • 2nd bound. 2nd bound of the frame length range for the frames to be counted.
