Clarinet Loader

Status

Status is displayed for each Clarinet module connected on the PC:

 

CLARINET

The ID of the Clarinet module connected to the PC (set by the coding wheel on the unit).

 

Detecting

Type of Clarinet module connected to the PC:
  • at first, type of interface to the PC (SCSI or USB).
  • then type of Clarinet interface for test application.

 

Loading

The OK display indicates that the loading of the related Clarinet module has been successful completed.
(During the loading, a progress indicator is displayed at the bottom of the panel)

Report

A detecting, checking, and loading sequence is carried out for the Clarinet module(s) connected to the Host PC.

 

Successful loading

Here is an example of display (with x as Clarinet ID of SCSI type and y as Clarinet ID of USB type) :

Then the Window is automatically closed.
Results as type, ID and  loaded file are saved in the file tac_clef.aci (in Clatools directory).

Note: for Clarinet Book USB ADSL-A, there are supplementary loading steps :

Unsuccessful loading

A complementary error window is displayed, which must be acknowledged by the operator.

Detecting without
Refresh SCSI device list

The Clarinet Loader program (\Clatools\wac_load.exe) must be launched with the parameter '-s'. The command line in the shortcut becomes:
path\Clatools\wac_load.exe -s

Here is the detecting sequence displayed :

Boot Updating (Clarinet-Book SCSI type)

BootUpdate

The BootUpdate is automatically launched by Clarinet Loader when the Flash Memory of the Clarinet module is to be updated (only from software versions 8.4 and greater).

Status

Status is displayed for each Clarinet connected on the PC:

 

CLARINET

The ID of the Clarinet unit connected to the PC (set by the coding wheel on the unit).

 

Type

Type of Clarinet connected to the PC.

 

Ser. number

Serial number of Clarinet connected to the PC.

 

Current ver.

Initial Boot version of Clarinet connected to the PC, before BootUpdate processing.

 

Target ver.

Target Boot version which will be applied by the BootUpdate.

 

Updating

The OK display indicates that the updating of the related Clarinet has been successful completed.

Report

A detecting, and updating sequence is carried out for the Clarinet(s) connected to the Host PC.

End of Updating

The trace can be copied (by Ctrl C) and pasted (by Ctrl V) in a text format for further reporting.
