How to connect BERT resources to the B channels in ISDN simulation

Clarinet Run-time simulation allows to manages resources to be connected to after the establishment of the communications.

Connecting the unit and setting the test conditions:

The connections of Clarinet-Book USB units and the settings of test conditions for a basic monitoring are detailed in the following pages:

Profile resulting from the wizard is ready for generating one outgoing call and accepting incoming calls in ISDN Simulation.

Connect BERT over the B channel established by Outgoing call COM#1

Edit the profile resulting from selection by the wizard in the template list:

  •  access to Generator èCOM#1  èEdit and select Active source= BERT 2047+

Saving the profile:

  • ProfileèSave asèfilename.acp.

The BERT pattern will be transmitted continuously after the establishment of the B channel. The destination of the call must loop the data or transmitt the same BERT pattern. The data  received in the B channel are compared to the transmitted pattern and results of the checking cause the generation of events according to G821 specification.

Connect BERT to the B channel established by any Incoming call

Edit the profile resulting from selection by the wizard in the template list:

  •   access to Responder èActive source  èConnect and select:
    • In column "Then Connect Active source" = BERT 2047+

Saving the profile:

  • ProfileèSave asèfilename.acp.

The BERT pattern will be transmitted continuously after the establishment of the B channel. The source of the call must loop the data or transmit the same BERT pattern. The data  received in the B channel are compared to the transmitted pattern and results of the checking cause the generation of events according to G821 specification (see BERT events)
