Profile Editor: QSIG specifications

Interface init. Selection of the physical interface type.

  • E1. ISDN PRI CEPT Trunk E1
  • T1. ISDN PRI North-American Trunk T1
  • Options. The options of the physical interface.

Emulation mode. The behaviour of the Clarinet interface.

  • Monitor. The both directions of the Clarinet interface are monitored in the same time with a common time-stamping.
  • PNX(User). Clarinet interface emulates a Private Network Exchange (PNX) as a User. The monitoring function is simultaneously active.
  • PNX(Network). Clarinet interface emulates a a Private Network Exchange PNX as a Network. The monitoring function is simultaneously active.
  • Side. The side of PNX to manage call collisions (ISO/IEC 10.3)

  • A. For assignment of channels numbers: (lowest value)
  • B. For assignment of channels numbers: (highest value)
  • Interface spec... Configuration of the physical interface.

Emulator config... When Clarinet emulates a User or Network side, the specification of the parameters of the signalling protocol (Q921, QSIG).

Signalling Behaviour. Configuration of the simulation on SL:

    • Generator. Specification of the outgoing communications of the QSIG Call simulator.
      • No. The Generator behaviour is de-activated. Not any call or connection will be launched during the profile execution.
      • Yes. The Generator behaviour is activated.
    • Responder. Specification of the incoming communications of the QSIG Call simulator.
      • No. The Responder behaviour is limited to marked items '(emu)' relating to Incoming call accepted - Call establishment or Incoming call rejected.
      • Yes. The Responder behaviour is activated.
    • Miscellaneous. Specification of various messages to be sent manually, and then initialise the related service.
    • X25 call simulator. Specification of the X25 Call simulation on SL.
    • User Program. The simulation behaviour is carried out by the execution of a user-developed program in C language.
    • TTCN User Program. Simulation defined by an Executable Test Suites resulting from TTCN compilation.

Data Behaviour. Configuration of the simulation on DL:

    • Call simulator. Specification of the Data call simulation on DL by an automatic simulator.
    • User Program. The simulation behaviour is carried out by the execution of an user-developed program in C language.
    • TTCN User Program. Simulation defined by an Executable Test Suites resulting from TTCN compilation.
