How to transfer TS's to TRANSIT over an E1/T1 Trunk

The digital matrix relative to the TS's allows to permanently transfer TS directions between the Current interface and the TRANSIT interface:

Setting the test conditions for Trunk E1/T1 simulation

A new profile can be created with the Wizard from the Template list by selecting:

  • Trunk application.
  • Profile with a description including Trunk, Simu, PH=E1 or T1, DL=BERT
  • Filter with a description including DL=Bert

Profile resulting from the wizard is ready for Bert Simulation over the B channel #1.

Example: Modifications to transfer TS directions To/From the Transit

In the profile access to Interface-Spec... ->To Transit to define the TS number of the INPUT direction of the Current interface which will be transferred to a TS number of the OUTPUT direction of the TRANSIT port:

  • Enter the From TS number of the Current interface below each To TS number of the TRANSIT interface

In the profile access to Interface-Spec... ->From Transit to define the TS number of the  INPUT direction of the TRANSIT port which will be transferred to a TS number of the OUTPUT direction of the Current interface:

  • Enter the From TS number of the TRANSIT interface below each To TS number of the Current interface.

The Current Interface  and TRANSIT interface share a common type (E1 or T1) and common Options on the Clarinet-Book USB.

Application: User simulation - Transferring TS 5 of the Current interface to TS 7 of the Transit

Profile resulting from the wizard is ready for Bert Simulation (User simu) over the B channel #1.

  • Connect the E1/T1 cable to port B (From Network)
  • Connect the TRANSIT cable to port A (From User)
  • Access to Interface-Spec... ->To Transit.
    • Below 'To TS' = 7 enter the value 5 in the From TS' field.
  • Access to Interface-Spec... ->From Transit.
    • Below 'To TS' = 5 enter the value 7 in the From TS' field.

Application: Network simulation - Transferring TS 12 and 13 of the Current interface to TS 18 and 19 of the Transit

Profile resulting from the wizard is ready for Bert Simulation (Network simu) over the B channel #1.

  • Connect the E1/T1 cable to port A (From User)
  • Connect the TRANSIT cable to port B (From Network)
  • Access to Interface-Spec... ->To Transit.
    • Below 'To TS' = 18 enter the value 12 in the From TS' field.
    • Below 'To TS' = 19 enter the value 13 in the From TS' field.
  • Access to Interface-Spec... ->From Transit.
    • Below 'To TS' = 12 enter the value 18 in the From TS' field.
    • Below 'To TS' = 13 enter the value 19 in the From TS' field.
