Filter editor statistics: Counter specification

Name. The counter name, which is displayed by the Statistics Event Editor, can be customised with an ASCII character string to characterize briefly the counting.

Type. Counting type to be selected in a choice list :

  • Count. the counter samples indicate a counting value at the end of the sampling period.
  • Sum. the counter samples indicate a counting value from the beginning of the current profile execution until the current date/time. It is reset at each beginning of execution.
  • Total. the counter samples indicate a counting value from the beginning of the first profile execution until the current date/time. It is reset when the application is launched.
  • Max. the counter samples indicate the maximum value encountered.
  • Min. the counter samples indicate the minimum value encountered.
  • Edit events from. Definition of the Clarinet interface(s), whose events matching selecting conditions are processed for the current counting.

    • Edit System events. To select Delay type events generated in the protocol recording mode for measuring delays between events.
      By this way, that makes possible to glance over dispersion of the delay values.
    • Edit Protocol events. To select event types or field values according to the defined protocol stack, as well as data flow measure mode.

    Clear. As an editing facility provided, this command allows the clearing the whole set of specifications attached to the current counter.
