ISDN signalling behaviour: Responder default data source

The type of the selecting conditions listed in the left-side area depends on the by IE selection.

  • No. A selection between several sources is possible according to conditions defined on the called number of incoming the call.
  • Yes. A selection between several sources is possible according to whether an IE with a particular content is present in the SETUP message of the incoming call.

Called number condition

The Called number conditions are checked in the order of definition of the lines and the source corresponding to the first satisfied condition is connected.

  • an empty condition on a line implies the connection of the source defined on this line for all the communications which have not checked the conditions of the previous lines.
  • the complete definition of all the lines implicitly causes a connection to the None source for the communications which do not fulfil any of the Called number conditions.

If called number of incoming call is: The Called number, included in the signalling of the incoming communication, defines the connection condition of the data source defined on the same line.

then, Connect data source. See the choice list.
Active source used for the incoming communication if the called number defined on the same line matches the received called number.
Source to be connected in the switched B channel(s) during the active state of the communication.

IE condition

The IE conditions are checked in the order of definition of the lines and the source corresponding to the first satisfied condition is connected.

  • an Any IE condition on a line implies the connection of the source defined on this line for all the communications which have not checked the conditions of the previous lines.
  • the complete definition of all the lines implicitly causes a connection to the None source for the communications which do not fulfil any of the IE conditions.

If IE present in incoming SETUP: The IE precisely specified and included in the SETUP message of the incoming communication defines the connection condition of the data source defined on the same line.
The highlighted IE is the current one, which can be selected from a choice list, or used-defined.

  • . Access to the choice list of IE types for the current IE.
  • Editing of the IE type
    • ( / ) Any IE. Any IE can be accepted.
    • (0/x) designation. The IE is selected from the choice list.
    • (0/x) User defined ie. A type value can be manually entered. The User defined ie string is automatically displayed if the type value does not belong to the choice list.

Coding. To edit the content of the current IE according to the standard encoding fields if any.

Hexa. To edit the content of the current IE if any in hexadecimal.

then, Connect data source. See the choice list.
Active source selected for the incoming communication and to be connected if the IE defined on the same line is present in the SETUP message.
Source to be connected in the switched B channel(s) during the active state of the communication.

Data user program To enable the use of the Data user program as specified in the Data User Program panel.
Cofidec 1 Digital input/output of the Cofidec 1.
Cofidec 2 Digital input/output of the Cofidec 2.
Data X25 simulator To enable the use of the X25 call simulator as specified in the Data Call simulator panel.

Data FR simulator To enable the use of the Frame Relay call simulator as specified in the Data Call simulator panel.
Data IP simulator To enable the use of the IP call simulator as specified in the Data Call simulator panel.
Outgoing call Launching of an outgoing communication triggered by an incoming communication: see attached configuration choice list.
The relevant outgoing communication is pre-defined in the Generator behaviour, must be selected active and the Starting delay must be an empty field.
The outgoing SETUP is sent after the Delay before CONNECT.
PESQ Wav file selected from a choice list ( 64 Kbits data source).
PESQ measurement is carried out on the Tx/Rx data flows at the end of the profile execution according to the following settings:
  • Analog properties set in the Protocol filter defined with in the profile
  • configuration file set as WI_ANALOG by Clarinet-Init

Source selection. For some data source type, a complementary selection area must be accessed.

  • Byte-TS /Wav File...
  • PESQ File...
  • TRANSIT T-slot...
  • Outgoing Com
Triggering on the same Clarinet interface
Any com+B The first selected and available outgoing communication is automatically launched. The B channels of the two communications are connected together.
Com i+B The outgoing communication n° i is launched. The B channels of the two communications are connected together.
Any com The first selected and available outgoing communication is automatically launched. The B channels of the two communications are independent. The incoming communication is connected to active source None.
Com i The outgoing communication n° i is launched. The B channels of the two communications are independent. The incoming communication is connected to active source None.
Triggering on a twinned Clarinet interface using the TRANSIT port: Possible pairs of Clarinet interfaces managed by the same profile can be used depending on their number (1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6).
Then the 2 Clarinet TRANSIT connectors must be linked together (cross connection).
Any comX+B The first selected and available outgoing communication for the twinned Clarinet interface is automatically chosen. The B channels of the two communications are connected together.
ComX i+B The outgoing communication n° i of the twinned Clarinet interface is launched. The B channels of the two communications are connected together.
Any comX The first selected and available outgoing communication for the twinned Clarinet interface is automatically launched. The B channels of the two communications are independent. The incoming communication is connected to active source None.
ComX i The outgoing communication n° i of the twinned Clarinet interface is launched. The B channels of the two communications are independent. The incoming communication is connected to active source None.
