Profile editor: Contents of profile

The content of the TAB area depends on its type (General, Clarinet x) and on Clarinet interface type.

General. The operating conditions to run a profile (recording, filtering...)

Clarinet x Interface. The interface number which identifies the Clarinet-interface connected to the host.
The Clarinet selection in the interface list is reported to the corresponding Tab:

  • No. Clarinet: the specification is empty
  • Clarinet i. the specification applies to the current Clarinet-interface
  • Multi-Clarinet. when 'V5' is selected in 'interface type' a set of Clarinet can be selected to define a 'Multi-Clarinet' configuration for emulation of V5.2 protocol.

Clarinet x Interface type. The interface type which defines the type of protocol supported by the physical interface indicated in the tab.
In a single profile, all the types can be different.

  • ISDN. on E1, T1, U, S/T with ISDN protocols (ETSI, North-American) or Trunk (E1/T1)
  • V-Series. on V24, V35, V36, X24
  • LAN. on Ethernet AUI, 10B2, 10BT
  • V5.x. on E1: single-clarinet (V5.1) and multi-clarinet (V5.2)
  • ATM. on E3 and STM1/STS3c
  • SS7. on E1 and T1
  • QSIG. on E1 and T1
  • ADSL. on ADSL
  • PSTN. on Public switched telephone network.
  • The Copy xxx interface and Paste xxx interface functions allow to duplicate the specifications of a particular interface to an other one (in the same profile or a different one).
